Dr. Shoshana Bennett
Dr. Shosh is a clinical psychologist, nationally recognized expert, and one of the earliest pioneers in the field of postpartum depression education and advocacy. A founding board member of Postpartum Support International, she has shaped how perinatal mental health is understood, supported, and treated today.
She is also the author of Pregnant on Prozac and Postpartum Depression for Dummies, and has been featured widely in the media for her compassionate, stigma-free approach to emotional wellness for new parents.
What sets Dr. Shosh apart is her lived experience—having personally endured two life-threatening postpartum depressions, she brings deep empathy, real-life tools, and fierce dedication to every class she leads.
Her mission is simple and powerful: to ensure no parent suffers in silence, and to help you feel emotionally whole, informed, and supported as you grow your family.

Absolutely! This class is designed for parents at any stage of their journey. We cover everything from basic anatomy to advanced comfort techniques, making it perfect for first-time parents while still valuable for those who want to refresh their knowledge.

We highly recommend having your partner or support person join you. Much of the class focuses on partner support techniques, and practicing together during class ensures you're both prepared for labor day.
We recommend taking this class between 28-36 weeks of pregnancy. This timing ensures the information is fresh in your mind while giving you enough time to practice techniques and ask follow-up questions if needed.
