Postpartum Support
Our Postpartum Doulas and Newborn Care Specialists work with couples and single parents to identify what type of support they need.
Birth Support
Our Birth Doulas remain current in evidence-based practices & work hard to support and guide each couple or single parent’s desires for birth.
Sibling Support
Our sibling support is available to care for older brothers and sisters while their parents are focused on bringing the new baby into the world.
Proudly Serving the San Francisco Bay Area Since 2009
Doulas by the Bay was founded in 2009 with a clear mission: to ensure every family feels supported, informed, and cared for during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. With more than 25 years of experience working with children and families, Shakila has built one of California’s most trusted doula organizations, serving over 3,000 families across Northern and Southern California.
Shakila leads a team of employed, certified, and fully vetted doulas. Each doula is Perinatal Mood Disorders Certified, CPR trained, HIPAA compliant, background screened, and covered by Workers’ Compensation and liability insurance. Through ongoing mentorship and continuous training, our team provides warm, reliable, and evidence-based care to every family
Our goal is simple: to help parents feel supported, confident, and at ease through one of life’s most meaningful moments
